Without further explanation, let's get right into it :)
My current obssesions:
1. Eau Thermale Avène - Déodorant
Recently there have been a lot of rumors claiming that deodorants that contain aluminum might cause breast cancer. Although there is no evidence yet, I honestly don't see the point in waiting, and since there already are aluminum-free alternatives I'll stick to them.
Avène is known for their gentle formulas, which is perfect for freshly depilated underarms, because it doesn't cause a burning feeling. It has a pleasant smell that fades after a few minutes. The packaging doesn't promise a certain time period, but it definitely lasts a 7-8 hours (in my case).
Cruelty-free: I have to admit: I don't know. I bought this deodorant a while ago. I did some research but every source claims something different. But I can definitely say that the brands isn't listed on Peta's and leaping bunnies list.
2. Hansaplast Foot Expert
What to say: In summer, when wearing sandals or any kind of open toe sandals, your feet should look like they're taken care of.
Cruelty-free: Yes! :)
3. Essie - Nail Lacquer in Lime-Scene
Sometimes I feel like bright colors on my nails, but sometimes I just want to go for a simple clean look, and this is the color I grab and in the last 5-6 weeks I've always felt like going simple.
In my case this color is the perfect nude tone. (It might not be the same for you, depending on your skin color)
I like to apply 2-3 coats for the perfect coverage. Therefore the bottle doesn't last very long, but it lasts up to 8 days in your nails (without top coat!)
Cruelty-free: Unfortunately not anymore.
4. NUXE Lipbalm: Rêve de miel
This lipbalm caught my attention, when Lisa Eldrige mentioned it in one of her videos, and I got all excited when I discovered it in my local pharmacy. It goes a reaaally long way, it took me several months to finally hit the pan, although I use it several times a day. Again, the scent is very nice and it has a slight lemon-taste.
Cruelty-free: On their website they stated:
So, I guess yes?Are NUXE care products cruelty-free?
In order to assess the performance of NUXE care products, we resort to cruelty-free tests.
NUXE products are tried on voluntary healthy people or on cell cultures. Safety tests are performed according to alternative or substitution methods, sponsored by renowned experts and never resorting to animal testing.
5. Rings - Midi Rings to be exact.
I've never really been into necklaces and earrings for accessorizing, instead I've been collecting a huuuuge amount of rings over the last few years. My latest obsession are midi rings. I like to stack a lot of thin rings, same goes for my midi Rings. (Pictures will be added later)
6. Yeşil Nektarin which literally translates to "green nectarine",
Last but definitely not least! I think the thing I look most forward to every year are these fruits. I've never seen them Germany so they are something that represents summer, holiday and Turkey to me.
Although they are mostly green (some few are light yellow with red marks) and look sour, they are very sweet. The flesh is very firm which I like and they are just the perfect snack.
If you get the chance to taste them you definitely should!
Until next time, take care! :)
Jasmine
NOTE: Pictures should be up later tonight :)
